About Chabad
Chabad of Peabody is a community based nonprofit organization rooted in traditional Jewish values. Since its inception in August of 2003, Chabad has established more than 30 social, educational and religious programs for all ages enriching the lives of thousands in the local community. These include social services for the elderly, childrens education and clubs, classes and services for adults and a kaleidoscope of publications and programs for all ages. More than anything else, Chabad is always there to offer friendship and support to whoever may need it.
Chabad takes great pride in welcoming all Jewish people regardless of affiliation, background or level of knowledge. People from a diverse spectrum of Jewish life find Chabad to be a warm and non-judgmental community in which to experience the richness of their heritage.
There are no membership requirements and one need not even agree with everything at Chabad - you just belong. Internationally, Chabad has emerged as the largest and most dynamic religious, educational and social force in the Jewish world, impacting countless communities and individuals across the globe, currently operating over 4,000 branches in nearly fifty countries on six continents.
Though Chabad International is bound together by a mutual vision, funding for Chabad of Peabody comes strictly from private donors within the local community who share those values and goals.
