Welcome to Chabad of Peabody's Hebrew School of the Arts, an exciting and innovative educational program. Our School has a particular focus on educating children through arts, song and dance which enables children to experience the ideas and ideals which are taught in a tangible and artistic manner. Synagogue membership not required and there are no requirements as far as education level or affiliation.

At Hebrew School of the Arts we recognize that each child is a unique individual with different learning styles and abilities.

Each lesson in Hebrew School is multi-sensory and hands on. The lessons incorporate different ways of learning, so that each individual child is reached and is able to benefit. The students truly experience that which they are being taught.

Drama, song, interactive workbooks, Aleph Champ and of course the teachers, bring Hebrew School lessons to life. Our hands-on learning style encourages children to be active, rather than passive, learners.

Our teachers, trained Judaic teachers, are the true life behind our Hebrew School. They actually live the material that they teach - and there is nothing like a living example.

Individualized Attention

Every child enjoys individual attention from instructors who are carefully selected for their abilities to connect with, appropriately assess, and cater to the needs of each student.

  • At Chabad of Peabody, we believe that every Jewish child deserves a Jewish education and a Bar or Bat Mitzvah ceremony.  No family will be denied because of inability to pay.  Please inquire about our scholarship program.
  • ·       Our program does not require any family membership at a synagogue and all students and their families are welcome to attend services at Chabad at no additional cost.
  • ·      Although our programs are open to families of all backgrounds and affiliations, our synagogue is traditional and life cycle events, such as Bar and Bat Mitzvah,  can only be celebrated by children of a Jewish mother or those converted under Halachic auspices.
