Stocks & Bonds Donations

So you have a portfolio that you’ve been sitting on or inherited or stocks and bonds you got for your Bat Mitzvah, and now it is many years later and the capital gains taxes on the stocks are significant so you just let it sit.

 Did you know that you could donate that stock for is full current value and not pay taxes on its gains? The stocks would be transferred to our 501c3 account and Chabad would then sell them and have valuable funds for our continued operations. Always consult with your tax adviser before making any financial transaction however, this is an easy way to help us without it hitting you hard in the pocket!
